The official release date for the track is set for Friday, September 29th. Surpassing expectations, the post had reached 21,000 comments by Tuesday afternoon. In his caption, Meek Mill encouraged fans to comment if they longed for the iconic MMG rap sound, countering claims that rap was in decline. He pledged to share the song ahead of schedule with the hashtag #KOBEANDSHAQ if the comment target was achieved before Friday.
